Types of Criteria Sets

There are five different types of Criteria Sets (though three of these types are connected to optional paid areas and will not be used by all users).

Individual Constituent Set – This Criteria Set looks to see if there is an Individual Constituent record in the Raiser’s Edge that matches the data in your data source.

Organisation Constituent Set – This Criteria Set looks to see if there is an Organisation Constituent record in the Raiser’s Edge that matches the data in your data source.

Individual Relationship Set – This Criteria Set looks to see if there is an Individual Relationship record in the Raiser’s Edge that matches the data in your data source. If you are importing a Constituent Relationship, the Individual Constituent Set will also be used to determine if the Constituent exists in the Raiser’s Edge. You will only be able to use this if you have the Individual Relationships data destination.

Organisation Relationship Set – This Criteria Set looks to see if there is an Organisation Relationship record in the Raiser’s Edge that matches the data in your data source. If you are importing a Constituent Relationship, the Organisation Constituent Set will also be used to determine if the Constituent exists in the Raiser’s Edge. You will only be able to use this if you have the Organisation Relationships data destination.

Tribute Set – This Criteria Set looks to see if there is a Constituent record in the Raiser’s Edge that matches the data in your data source. Since you can set Tributes to either Individual or Organisation records, you will need to take that into account for your sets. The Tribute matching is separate from the other Constituent matching so that you can limit to Honour/Memorial records, deceased records, etc. You will only be able to use this if you have the Tribute data destination.
