When you first setup Audit Trail you will be asked to download your baseline data, this will copy the existing fields from your Raiser’s Edge NXT database into the database used by Audit Trail. It is this baseline that we will compare subsequent changes to and show you these previous values.

However, some data is not made available to us to add as a baseline, consequently, the first time a record is changed we will update that baseline data and you will see the previous value as ‘unknown’. This does not necessarily mean a change has taken place to that field, rather that we are now able to record a value for it and for subsequent changes show you the true previous and new values.

Fields that we cannot download baseline data for are:

• Solicit Codes (all fields)
• Prospect (all fields)
• Gender
• Age
• Birthdate
• Marital status
• Is a solicitor
• Is a memorial
• Receipt type
• No valid address
