This process is almost identical to the synch process for constituent records, but when selecting the audience only those configured for use with relationships are shown (see ‘Settings’ area for more details). This process is for synchronizing NON-Constituent Relationship Records in Raiser’s Edge.
You can see a video showing you how to work with relationships records in Chimpegration here.
There are a few other differences to the regular synchronization:
- Remember to map the relationship ImportID to the ID field. For more information regarding the Relationship Import ID, please see this knowledgebase article.
- Only non-constituent relationships are synchronized. If the import ID points to a constituent relationship it will not be synchronized and instead you should use the regular synchronization.
- No new records will be added to RE. This should be done in the regular synchronization. The reason for this is that there is no way of Chimpegration knowing which constituent record the new relationship record should be associated with.
